Each year around this time, people in Denmark’s Faroe Islands take part in ritualistic activities of slaughtering dolphins and whales to show their “maturity” and “manliness”. They use hooks to murder these animals, striking them multiple times and then leave them to die. The event is for sport similar to watching a soccer/football game. Furthermore, the Calderon dolphin species is near extinct. Please spread the word to stop this practice of cruelty and inhumanity against animals. 

As against animal cruelty as I am, people need to be informed on something, this particular slaughter of porpoises is due to the fact that these people live on an island that does not provide much else in the sense of food, so these migratory pods of dolphins provide an excellent source of nutrients for the people living on the island, since due to its climate and topography, crops struggle to grow here. I am BY NO MEANS supporting what is done here, but these people are doing this because without the dolphins and their blubber no one could survive, now a HUGE site of murder is the Japanese slaughter of dolphins, I highly suggest watching, “The Cove”, incredible informative. I do believe in stopping this kind of slaughter, just be informed folks, understand where we are all coming from in our species melting pot
